The past few months have been a season of learning.
Not the kind that comes from planning or strategy, but the kind that comes from trying, missing, adjusting, and trying again.
As I step into Q2, I’ve been thinking a lot about what this season is going to require of me.
If I’m being honest, I already know it may not look the way I originally planned. There are products I hoped to release that aren’t quite ready, timelines that have shifted, and ideas that no longer feel as aligned as they once did. And instead of pushing through just to meet a plan I made months ago, I’m choosing to pause and be more intentional about what comes next.
One of those moments came with the open folio in amber.
It’s a product I was genuinely excited about, but when it came in, it wasn’t quite right. The sizing ended up slightly off, leaving it in an in-between space that doesn’t function the way I intended. And rather than rushing to release something I’m not fully confident in, I’ve decided to sit with it a bit longer.
I’ve been thinking through how to still make use of the materials in a thoughtful way. Not just to avoid waste, but because I believe in being intentional about what we create and what we put out into the world.
That experience, more than anything, has been a reminder for me to slow down.
To reflect on where LeBeau Paper Co. is going, and to really define our lane. Not based on trends or what feels relevant in the moment, but based on what we do well and what actually serves the people who support this brand.
Over the past few months, I’ve been learning a lot. About the industry, about my audience, and about myself as a creator.
There have also been a lot of personal changes happening behind the scenes, and in the middle of that, I found myself in a bit of a creative block. The kind where you know you love what you do, but it feels harder to access that creativity.
So I went back to what feels natural.
I’ve been journaling more. Letting things be a little less structured. Creating without the pressure for it to be perfect or even shareable.
And slowly, that clarity has started to come back.
Not because I forced it, but because I gave it space.
I’ve also been paying closer attention. To what you all are drawn to, how you’re using your planners and journals, and the small details that actually matter in your day-to-day. It’s been a reminder that growth doesn’t always come from doing more. Sometimes it comes from refining what’s already there.
That’s really what this season is about for me.
Refinement. Connection. Intention.
Moving into the rest of Q2, I’m focusing less on pushing out newness for the sake of it, and more on building things that feel grounded and aligned. Things that make sense for this brand and for the people who use it.
LeBeau Paper Co. has always been about creating tools that meet you where you are. Tools that feel flexible, personal, and supportive in your everyday life. And I want to lean into that more deeply moving forward.
Not chasing every idea. Not launching just to launch. But creating with clarity.
This hasn’t been the easiest season, but it’s been an important one.
I’ve been showing up and creating even on the days it feels harder, not because I have to, but because I genuinely love this work. And in doing that, I’ve started to feel that excitement come back. Not just for what I’m making, but for the community that’s growing alongside it.
That part means everything to me.
If you’ve supported LeBeau Paper Co. in any way, whether that’s through a purchase, sharing the brand, or simply following along, I’m really grateful.
I’m looking forward to what this next season becomes, and even more than that, I’m looking forward to building it with intention.
